“Well, I am sure this is what President Buhari is looking for. He should allow the people of the Niger Delta Region to know peace, otherwise he will not know peace as well,” Tompolo said in the last paragraph of his statement issued by Paul Bebenimibo, his media aide. _ABUSIDIQU.COM

Tompolo use of violence to coerce or intimidate the Nigerian state and its people to change the course of judicial processes in an ongoing investigation or criminal charges filed against him by the Economic and Finacial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is an act of terrorism.

To use terror as an instrumentarium to coerce or intimidate the Nigerian state, its people and by inference/extension the president and commander in chief of the armed forces is a treasonable act under offence against public order.

There is a subsistence judicial pronouncement by Justice Ibrahim Buba who issued a bench warrant for Tompolo’s arrest after he failed to report in court to face criminal charges filed against him by the Economic and Finacial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The following sections apply in my opinion:

Part 2 Offences against Public Order
Chapter 6

Treason and certain other Offences

 37.     (1)  Any person who levies war against the State, in order to intimidate or overawe the President or the Governor of a State, is guilty of treason, and is liable to the punishment of death.

(c) to levy war against Nigeria in order by force or constraint to compel the President to change his measures or counsels, or in order to put any force or constraint upon, or in order to intimidate or overawe any House of the National Assembly or any other Legislature or legislative authority; or

(d) to instigate any foreigner to make any armed invasion of Nigeria or of any of the territories thereof; and manifests such intention by an overt act, is guilty of a felony and is liable to imprisonment for life.

42. Any person who, without lawful authority, carries on, or makes preparation for carrying on, or aids in or advises the carrying on of, or preparation for, any war or warlike undertaking with, for, by, or against, any traditional chief, or with, for, by, or against any band of citizens, is guilty of a felony, and is liable to imprisonment for life.

(2) A person charged with an offence against this Chapter who is in Nigeria may, whether or not the offence was committed in Nigeria or in any Nigerian ship or aircraft, be taken in custody to any place in Nigeria, and may be proceeded against, charged, tried and punished in any place in Nigeria, as if the offence had been committed in that part of Nigeria, and for all purposes incidental to or consequential on the trial or punishment of the offence it shall be deemed to have been committed in that part of Nigeria.

49C. The provisions of this Chapter shall apply to anything done by any person in Nigeria.

"Criminal acts intended or calculated to provoke a state of terror in the general public, a group of persons or particular persons for political purposes are in any circumstance unjustifiable, whatever the considerations of a political, philosophical, ideological, racial, ethnic, religious or any other nature that may be invoked to justify them." -United NationsA/RES/49/60 84th plenary meeting 9 December 1994

This latest action by Tompolo or whoever blew up oil installations between Ikpokpo and Odidi flow stations is/was an action calculated to provoke a state of fear and terror in the general public.

Granted that Tompolo has denied responsibility for this dastardly act, his antecedents in committing acts of terror and levying war or warlike undertakings against the Nigerian state leaves one in doubt about his sincerity and truthfulness because he has threatened war severally in the past.

Tompolo said he was willing to help the Federal Government and relevant security operatives fish out the masterminds of the attacks and bring them to book.

My advice to him is help the Federal Government and relevant security operatives including @efccNigeria to resolve the pending cases of Fraud, Money laundering, Gun runing and Terrorism undertaking you are/were involved in against the people of Nigeria and the state.

Come out of hiding to face justice now that you have a lawyer defending you, do not be a coward and a fugitive asshole. You can run, you can hide, but you cannot escape from the long arms of the law because it is an octopus.
